I took Sarah Turner's Write Your Way To Freedom copywriting course and then created my own freelance copywriting business. My website is geared toward the health and wellness niche but I am open to writing for other niches as well. Click here to view. More updates coming soon!
Instagram Influencer
June 2023 - Present
Grew my Instagram account to 529K+ followers and am now doing various brand partnerships. Most recently, I did one with iconic celebrity jacket designer, Jeff Hamilton. I've learned so much about marketing through running and growing this page. One of my big takeaways - if you bring value to someone (doesn't matter how), then you start building a long-lasting relationship with them. If you make people feel seen and heard, they will continue to support you.

While working at a content house, I learned all the ins and outs of what makes a video go viral (hint: there's a formula to follow). There is so much psychology that goes into understanding virality, and becoming more educated about it definitely helped me grow my social media presence!

Working as a Brand Marketing Coordinator for Blue Star Press has been extremely rewarding. While always finding new ways to market our brand, I am also able to exercise my passion for writing. I am in charge of writing press releases, social media copy, blog copy, email copy, and more. I have also been lucky enough to work alongside our editorial team on several projects and am always searching for new talent to join our list of authors. Most recently, I have acquired Tiktok star Hannah Pistoia (2.6 million followers) to join us on a project. The book publishing industry is so much more complex than anyone on the outside could ever imagine. Having Penguin Random House as our distributor has been vital in us being able to land our books in popular stores such as Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters.

Working in Entertainment PR has taught me so much about the ins and outs of the industry. It's fast-paced, stressful at times, diverse, and all about relationship building with outlets and others in the industry! Without give-and-take with outlets, you are unable to have a mutually beneficial relationship. Also, when a PR disaster strikes, you better be ready to think of a creative solution within 10 minutes! It's all about teamwork.

Working in Digital Marketing for music artists taught me all about what goes into an artist's social media and how they market themselves to gain more followers across all platforms. I was in charge of creating aesthetically-fitting posts/stories for major artists as well as planning them out ahead of time. In addition, I researched current social media trends to send to the artists so that they could send a video of themselves doing the trend. Trends are a huge way to gain new followers. Staying on brand with aesthetics is another major aspect of building a brand for someone.

Working as an Editorial intern allowed me to entertain two of my passions: pop culture and writing. On top of writing some of my own posts/articles for publication, I interacted with hundreds of people about everything going on in the entertainment world. I also learned what it takes to grow a new company from zero to having thousands of subscribers. By the end of my experience, website engagement had reached one million in just twelve
months.

Through my Marketing experience, I've learned how to optimize campaigns and attract a large audience by using keywords, understanding my target audience, and centering on conversions. I have also learned how to use Canva to create flyers and graphics for social media while utilizing post boosting to attract a larger target audience and gain more exposure to those social media posts.
